We cannot overstate the importance of having a wide variety of dog toys. Dogs are an intelligent animal and need to keep their brains stimulated otherwise they can become bored and destructive. It is our responsibility to make sure our pets are adequately exercised and entertained.
From tough toys, like Major Dog Toys to puppy teething toys, fluffy squeaky toys, to chew toys, your dog needs a constant source of entertainment. Cheap dog toys, while tempting, will not last the distance and can sometimes prove to be quite dangerous as they are made of lesser quality materials and can be easily swallowed.
All dogs are different and what one dog finds fun and interesting may bore the socks off another. Puppies like something soft and fluffy to cuddle up to as this reminds them of their litter mates. As they get a little older and start teething, they need a good range of chew toys and teething toys to stop the irritation caused by losing their baby teeth and growing their new teeth.
Get your dog a variety of toys and rotate them every week or so. Imagine how you would feel if you had to watch the same DVD or read the same book over and over again. A bored dog is a destructive dog. You can't blame them for finding something to play with if you don't supply them with it.
